FAQs
Orders & Delivery
Can we do a rush order like getting it within 1/2 days?
-
We typically take about 1 to 2 days to prepare and pack your small-batch pieces before dispatching them, except for ready stock items, and is upon request. Please put in your requested delivery date on the Notes Section at checkout and contact us in prior to arrange. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Do you offer the option of meet-up or self-collection for orders?
- We currently do not offer the option of meet-up or self-collection. All orders are dispatched by mailing.
Returns, Exchanges, & Sizing
What if my jewelry does not fit me?
- If your new piece doesn’t fit quite right, don't worry.
We offer a one-time complimentary ring resizing within the first 90 days of receiving your package. Please be sure the piece just needs to be in mint, unworn condition (aside from trying it on for size, of course!) and must not have been altered by an outside jeweler.
- Some intricate designs (like full eternity bands or heavily engraved rings) simply cannot be resized due to how they are made. If you choose one of these pieces and it doesn't fit, we will happily offer a size exchange instead, provided we have your new size available in stock!
What is your ring sizing guide?
- Oranda generally uses HK sizing for our listings.
- Your ring should fit your finger comfortably: snug enough so that it will not fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle. If you don’t know your ring size, you can refer to our conversion ring sizing chart or measure your finger at home using a strip of paper and a ruler.
Can I Return Or Refund Final Sale Merchandise?
- To maintain the highest hygiene standards and respect the custom nature of our small-batch pieces, a few of our items are strictly Final Sale. Because these are made specifically for you or cannot be resold, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on the following:
- All Earrings: For hygiene and safety reasons, once they leave our hands, they are yours forever!
- Personalized & Custom Creations: Any pieces featuring custom engraving, special sizing, or made-to-order designs tailored just for you.
- Special Orders: Items ordered specifically outside of our standard collection.
-
Digital Gift Cards (E-Cards): These are non-refundable but never expire!
What should I do when I received a Faulty/ Wrong Item?
-
If something unpleasant happens, we would love to get things right. We offer Free Exchanges or Refund Credit for our online store on all of our items including in all their original receipt and packaging materials within 10 days from when your package was delivered. Material & Jewelry Care
What is silver? What is the difference between 925 silver and 999 silver?
- 999 Fine Silver: This is pure silver, consisting of 99.9% silver and 0.1% trace elements. It is incredibly soft, malleable, and prone to scratching or bending, which is why it is rarely used for intricate, everyday jewelry.
- 925 Sterling Silver: This is the jewelry industry standard. It consists of 92.5% pure silver mixed with 7.5% of other metal alloys (usually copper). This blend drastically increases the metal's strength and durability, making it perfect for creating beautiful, long-lasting small-batch pieces while retaining that gorgeous silver luster.
Does Silver or Gold Rust?
- No, only iron rusts. However, other precious metals can experience different chemical reactions:
- Silver can tarnish over time. This is a natural reaction to substances containing sulfur or chlorine, and how quickly it happens depends heavily on your skin’s pH and care habits.
- Gold does not tarnish, but it can become dulled or dirtied by skin oils, makeup, and everyday grime. We recommend a professional cleaning twice a year to keep your gold sparkling.
Can you wear sterling silver in water?
- Showering or washing your hands with clean water is perfectly fine. However, you should avoid wearing your jewelry in swimming pools, the ocean, at the gym, or exposing it to perfume and harsh chemicals.
How can I clean my tarnished jewelry?
- Wear it every day! The best way to prevent tarnish is actually to wear your silver often. The natural oils in your skin and the friction of daily wear act as a constant, gentle polish.
- Clean before storing: Always wipe down your jewelry with a soft cloth after wearing it, and store it in an airtight container to minimize oxidation.
- ⚠️ Important Care Note:
* Intentional Oxidation: Some of our designs feature intentional darkening (oxidized silver) to create a beautiful, vintage, or high-contrast effect. Over-cleaning or using chemical dips can strip away this design detail!
*Delicate Gemstones: Certain gemstones are porous or delicate and require extra care. If your piece features unique gemstones or an oxidized design, please contact us for cleaning advice before using any harsh polishes or chemical cleaners.
