Care Instruction
Please treat and wear your jewelry with care. Every piece of jewelry naturally will get tarnished or dull after some time. This is a result of a chemical reaction that occurs when silver comes into contact with air, humidity and various substances. It is not a manufacturing fault or permanent damage and can be removed relatively easily. Oranda does not warranty wear and tear. The amount of tarnishing occurs is dependent on the skin ph and care habits of the wearer. Do not expose the jewelry to body lotions, perfume or harsh chemicals and remove prior to swimming in the pool or ocean or working out at the gym. Always clean your jewelry after wearing. Protect jewelry from sharp blows, extreme temperatures, sunlight and rough or hard surfaces. You can consider for a professional cleaning a twice yearly at your nearest local jewelry store or send back to us.

Cleaning Your Jewelry
To keep your piece looking its best, pour a small amount of mild soap into lukewarm water and use a soft toothbrush to clean your jewelry. Rinse it well and lay it on a soft towel to dry.

Silver Polishing / Anti-Tarnish Cloth
A silver-polishing cloth is a great tool to make your sterling silver jewelry shine again if the pieces have become dull. Complementary Silver-polishing cloths will be proived in every purchase with Oranda or you can easily purchased from your local jewelry store. The cotton cloth is loaded with a special cleansing formula that can be used to remove tarnish from sterling silver jewelry. It can be used to clean gold, brass and other jewelry to obtain a brilliant polish too. Great for a quick wipe of any jewelry piece at the end of the day before storing it in an airtight ziplock bag. *CAUTION: Do not wash the anti-tarnish cloth. This will destroy its effectiveness.

Storing Your Jewelry
Always clean your jewelry after wearing it before you store it. Please note that our Oranda white gift boxes are not made for long-term storage as they are not airtight and tarnishing will occur over time. For more safe, store your jewelry in a airtight ziplock bag and keep it dry by adding a silica gel packet into the jewelry box to prevent tarnish. Never store your jewelry in a rubber container or store your jewelry in the bathroom.

Plated Jewelry
Please note that the warm pink-hued color may intensify with age due to tarnishing. It is normal for the finishing to wear off over time. Oranda does not warranty wear and tear. Great care should be taken when cleaning plated jewelry to protect the surface from being worn away or nicked. It depends on whether you wear it constantly. If not subject to excessive friction and wear, they will retain their look indefinitely. But if the piece experiences significant wear, the good appearance may last only a fairly short time and replating will be necessary. Plating on a ring will normally wear off much faster than plating on a pendant because a ring constantly rubs against fingers and objects throughout the day.

Although plated jewelry does not tarnish easily, it will get dirty. Always maintain the beautiful shine and unique finish by polishing plated products with a soft cloth. Dampen the cloth in lukewarm water, adding a small amount of mild soap, and rub gently on jewelry. If jewelry is particularly dirty, soak for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth. Use of silver polishing liquids, silver dips, ultrasonic cleaning and a tumbler should be avoided.

Polishing cloths with cleaning compound are not recommended to use oftenly. Do not expose the jewelry to harsh chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and remove jewelry prior to bathing or swimming.
